Improvers Throwing Course. Begins Tuesday 7th January for 6 weeks
Our improvers class is aimed at students with previous experience of throwing on the potter's wheel who are looking to develop their technical skills.
During the course you will learn how to batch throw cylinders, mugs, bowls and jugs to exact dimensions. We’ll show you how to trim your pieces, create galleries and lids and pull your own handles. During the final session of the course you’ll learn how to glaze your pieces and prepare them for the kiln firing.
Our tutor will focus on enhancing your technical knowledge and skill and will encourage weekly self reflection, so that students leave the course with work you are proud of.
This class is limited to 5 students ensuring you will have access to your own wheel each session and technical support from our experienced tutor and production potter, Alex McCarthy.
