Throwing for Beginners. Begins Wednesday 11th June for 6 weeks
Our throwing for beginners course will introduce you to a range of throwing techniques and is aimed to build your confidence at throwing independently on the potter’s wheel. During the course you will learn how to centre clay, throw cylinders and bowls, pull handles and turn foot rings. There will be an opportunity at the end of the course to glaze all your pieces.
Our experienced tutor will help to nurture your technique through guided tuition and practical demonstrations. Additional processes will be introduced each week to develop your skills and enhance your understanding of what’s happening with the wheel, your body and the clay.
